Meet Joanie! This gorgeous black-and-white Husky girl, with striking icy blue eyes, is ready for a second chance at a happy life. Joanie, along with her companion Fonzie, came to The Healthy Hearts and Paws Project as part of a humane case, rescued from severely neglected and unsanitary conditions. Despite the heartbreaking circumstances they endured, Joanie is an incredibly sweet soul. She can be a little reactive in the busy shelter environment when other dogs are coming and going, but once she's outside and able to decompress, she relaxes and shows her true, loving nature. Volunteers noted how patient and well-behaved she was during her photoshoot, as if she knew this was a step towards finding her forever family. While her exact age is unknown, she appears to be young, likely around 2-3 years old. Joanie deserves so much more than her past, and she's dreaming of a safe, loving home where she can finally be the happy Husky she was meant to be. Imagine waking up to those bright blue eyes and a wagging tail greeting you every day!
