Meet Joao! This handsome boy arrived at the shelter as a lost dog on May 1st, and sadly, no one has come to reclaim him. Joao is described by our volunteers as a great dog who will be a lot of fun for the right family! He’s an intelligent and playful companion who will sometimes respond to commands like "sit" and "down." He’s approximately 2 years old and weighs 61 lbs.

Ideal Home

Joao needs an active family who can keep up with his energy and also provide him with the structure he needs. Since he came to us as a lost dog, we don't have information about how he might be with children or other pets.

Joao is up-to-date on vaccines and tested negative for heartworms. He has been neutered and will be microchipped upon adoption.
