Shelby is a delightful 6-month-old Shepherd/Hound/Terrier mix with a joyful and affectionate spirit. Weighing 39 pounds, she's expected to be a large dog when fully grown, with a distinctively long body. Shelby was rescued with her mom and sister from a shelter in San Antonio, Texas, and has blossomed in her foster home. She's curious, playful, and deeply bonded with her people, bringing warmth and fun into every day.
Ideal Home
Shelby would thrive in an active home that enjoys a dog's companionship and attention. She needs a family that is patient with puppy training and looking for an affectionate family member to include in all their adventures, whether it's hiking, walking, playing in the yard, or simply spending quality time together.

Training & Support
Shelby is in the process of house training and has made excellent progress. She reliably potties when taken outside and shows subtle cues when she needs to go indoors. She sleeps through the night in her crate and tolerates it, though she prefers to be near her people and other dogs. Shelby should not be crated excessively as she is a social dog. She is learning to manage her enthusiasm with other dogs and responds well to submissive cues. Continued basic training is recommended as she continues to grow and learn.

Transporation
Shelby is currently in a foster home in Washougal, Washington and is available for meet and greets. Transports run every few weeks and approved dogs will be on the next available transport.
