Penelope

Penelope is an approximately 3-year-old, 13-pound Poodle/Maltese/Schnauzer mix with an adorably cute look and a sweet disposition. She has never shown any signs of aggression. Penelope is mostly dog-neutral, doesn't particularly care for cats, and loves to chase squirrels in the yard. She loves her foster mom and does well in her foster home, but she has been bounced around a lot in the past, which can make her nervous in new environments. She needs time to settle in and feel safe.

Ideal Home

Penelope would thrive with an adopter who has a gentle and confident nature and is home a lot. She would ideally live alone, as she tends to bond with just one person and can be aloof or ignore others. She is not a great family dog and would not be the best companion for another dog. A securely fenced yard or outside area is ideal, but regular walks can suffice.
