Willie

Willie is a sweet, shy guy who is between 1 and 2 years old. He was recently surrendered to the shelter because his owner could no longer care for him. He warms up if you take it slow, and once he trusts you, he's a loyal companion. Willie enjoys his walks and time in the play yard. He loves car rides, sleeping under blankets, and prefers soft food over kibble. Staff have also noted that he enjoys playing fetch. He's a perfect-sized lap dog, but he is a bit of a chewer when he's bored. As with many smaller breeds, taking it slow and earning his trust is key to a successful relationship.

Ideal Home

Willie would do best in a quiet home with a patient owner. He has not lived with children, other dogs, or cats.

Willie is a runner and will take off exploring if you don't keep a close eye on him.

Training & Support

Willie can be a bit of a chewer when he is bored. Earning his trust and taking things slow is key to helping him adjust.
