Meet Dixie, a gentle, affectionate Lab/Husky mix with a goofy smile and plenty of love to give. At three years old, she’s ready for a peaceful early retirement filled with walks, car rides, fetch, couch time, and sunset watching with her favorite person.

Dixie is social and adaptable. She does well with people and dogs at rescue and can live with other dogs, though she would also be happy as your one-and-only companion. She enjoys a quieter, more relaxed lifestyle and would make a loyal best friend for a person or couple.

Ideal Home

Dixie would prefer a peaceful home with older children or no children. She should not live with cats because she enthusiastically tries to chase and hug them. She can live with other dogs or be an only dog.

Ongoing Health

Dixie is spayed and up to date on vaccinations.

Training & Support

Dixie is fully house-trained and knows basic commands, including “sit” and “crate.” She enjoys walks, car rides, fetch, relaxing by the couch, and spending time with her person.
