Benji

Benji is an energetic, leggy Lab/Coonhound mix whose playful spirit has completely charmed us! He's six years old and still has plenty of puppy energy, so he'd love an active home. Benji is a natural athlete with a sleek physique and adorable floppy ear tips. He has a low-maintenance tan coat with black markings and is at a healthy 51 pounds. Benji is a lovable and generally good-natured guy who is friendly, though he can be a bit suspicious of strangers at first. He warms up quickly to gentle affection and enjoys engaging with his people on his own terms. He's also happy to follow the rules when it comes to house manners and obedience training. Benji originally came to us from a city shelter after his owner surrendered him. While he adapted well to rescue life and was adopted, he was unfortunately returned due to his previous owner's divorce. Now, Benji is looking for his second chance at a forever home!

Ideal Home

Benji would be the ideal companion for an active single or couple who enjoy outdoor activities. We'd prefer to steer clear of children in Benji's home, as they may not respect his boundaries when it comes to his food and toys.

Ongoing Health

Benji is in excellent health, has been neutered, received routine vaccinations and health screenings, and has been microchipped and dewormed.

Training & Support

Benji is willing to follow pack rules when it comes to house manners and obedience training.
