Teddy

Meet Teddy, a charming 3-month-old German Shepherd and Lab mix with a golden coat and a heart full of love! Teddy is a playful pup with a big personality, eager to join an active family ready for adventure and to help him build his confidence. He loves exploring the outdoors, enjoying fresh air, and will happily chew on toys while he navigates his teething phase. When it's time to relax, Teddy is as cuddly as his namesake, enjoying stretching out near his favorite people.

Ideal Home

Teddy absolutely adores children of all ages and enjoys playtime with them. He's also good with cats, showing curiosity without being intrusive. If you have another dog, Teddy would do best with a calm, confident, and patient canine companion who can help him learn to be respectful and build his confidence. He would also be perfectly happy as the sole canine in the home. Teddy needs a home with a fenced yard where he can safely run and play. Due to his tendency to bark when left alone, he is not a good fit for homes with shared walls.

Ongoing Health

Teddy is up-to-date on all age-appropriate vaccinations, has been tested for heartworm and Lyme disease, and is on heartworm and flea/tick prevention. He is microchipped, and this includes registration.

Training & Support

Teddy is crate-trained and sleeps through the night. He's also making excellent progress with potty training and continues to improve with consistent positive reinforcement. He's a smart, eager-to-learn boy who will thrive with a routine and encouragement. When meeting new people or dogs, Teddy can be a bit shy initially, sometimes observing from a distance with a few small barks. However, once he feels safe, his happy and playful personality truly shines. Patience and consistency will help him continue to grow in confidence.

Transporation

Teddy is currently located in the Twin Cities area. We prefer to adopt within a 150-mile radius of the Twin Cities, but we will consider up to 250 miles if the foster family agrees to travel requirements and it's approved by staff.
