Big Daddy Hoss Cash

Big Daddy Hoss Cash is a magnificent 5-year-old, 147 lb St. Bernard with a heart of gold, ready to find his forever family! He's settled in wonderfully in his foster home, getting along famously with the resident dogs and even the cat. Hoss recently had a clean bill of health, with his bloodwork showing he's heartworm negative and in great shape.

Ideal Home

Hoss would thrive in a home that understands the needs of a giant breed. He enjoys daily walks and family time but needs to avoid overexertion, especially in warm weather. Air conditioning, plenty of water, and limited outdoor activity during the summer are essential as St. Bernards don't tolerate heat well. Be prepared for significant drool and shedding; keeping towels handy and staying on top of brushing will make life easier.

Ongoing Health

Hoss is generally healthy, but St. Bernards can be prone to issues like hip and elbow dysplasia, arthritis, bloat (gastric torsion), heart conditions, and eye problems. Regular grooming is necessary to manage shedding and prevent mats.

Training & Support

Hoss is a gentle giant who has adjusted well to his foster home. He wears bibs to help manage his drooling. Prospective adopters should be aware of the general health considerations and costs associated with giant breeds.
