Ace The Adorable Beagle!

Ace was born about May 28, 2016, and weighs about 43 lbs. He's a truly adorable and happy tri-colored Beagle who was released to us when his human had to move into assisted memory care. We're told his previous life involved a small shack, a dirt floor, and occasional rabbit hunting. Now, Ace is enjoying a clean, warm, and cozy foster home with plenty of soft blankies. He absolutely adores people and constantly seeks out human companionship, his tail wagging furiously whenever he's noticed or spoken to. Ace has adapted wonderfully to his new life, quickly mastering the doggy door and reveling in the ample yard space for sniffing and exploring. He traveled well on his car ride here and walks nicely on a leash. He's been excellent with all the dogs he's met so far, both small and large.

Ace is looking for a home where he can continue to feel loved and secure.

Ongoing Health

Ace has been diagnosed with cancer in the form of a plum-sized mass at the base of his tail and the top of his rectum. The biopsy confirmed cancer, and due to its location, surgery is considered extremely difficult and potentially fatal. Ace is currently a hospice case and is happy and unaware of his diagnosis. He is welcome to live out his days in his foster home, but a special adopter willing to provide him with love and comfort is also being sought.

Training & Support

Ace has learned to use the doggy door and walks well on a leash. He is good with other dogs. Information regarding his behavior with cats is not available.
