Dot

Dot is a sweet, approximately two-year-old female Shepherd mix who came to us when her previous human could no longer care for her. She was a bit shy at first, especially around new people, but with time and positive interactions, she's learning to trust and relax more. Dot enjoys spending time in a play yard and has shown that she thrives when she has the chance to get to know people at her own pace. She has also benefited greatly from spending time with other dogs, which has helped her gain confidence. Dot is described as liking children, cats, and other dogs.

Ideal Home

Dot would do best in a home where she can continue to build her confidence with patient and understanding humans. A home with other friendly dogs would be a great asset to her continued socialization. She has a history of liking children and cats, suggesting she could adapt to a family environment.

Ongoing Health

Dot has been spayed and is up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations. She has also been tested for heartworm.

Training & Support

Dot is still a bit stand-offish with new people, but she is making progress. Continued positive reinforcement and allowing her to approach people at her own speed will be key to her ongoing adjustment. Her interactions with other dogs have been beneficial, so continuing opportunities for positive dog socialization is recommended.
