Autumn (Gaeul) is a sweet, independent 8-year-old, 12 lb Pomeranian mix looking for a loving forever home. She enjoys walks, playing with small toys and balls, and staying active. Gaeul is house-trained with pee pads and is up to date on all her routine care. She's a smart cookie who loves to eat, so a family committed to helping her maintain a healthy weight will be a perfect fit!
Ideal Home
Gaeul would thrive with a patient adopter who respects her boundaries and enjoys daily walks. She prefers a calm environment and likes having her own space. She is friendly with small dogs, ignores cats, and usually avoids young children. Due to mild separation anxiety, she does best in a home where she won't be left alone for extended periods. We typically do not adopt to homes with children under 8 years old.
Ongoing Health
Gaeul is spayed and up to date on routine care. She has mild separation anxiety and can be sensitive to small noises, sometimes barking at unexpected sounds.
Training & Support
Gaeul can be shy with new people and doesn't enjoy sudden handling, but she warms up with patience and trust. She may howl briefly when left alone due to separation anxiety and can bark at unexpected noises. We do not recommend leaving dogs alone for more than 4 hours. If you expect to be away longer, we strongly encourage doggy daycare or another appropriate care option. Many of our rescue dogs had very little socialization before entering our program, so patience, understanding, and gentle guidance are essential as they adjust to family life.

Transportation
Gaeul is currently in a foster home in Korea and will be transported to the U.S. once adopted. In-person meet-and-greets are not possible before adoption. We are happy to provide detailed information, photos, and videos to help you get to know her. She can be transported to the Springfield, Virginia area (Northern Virginia and the Washington, DC suburbs only), within a 45-minute driving distance.
