Toaster

Toaster is a 2.5-year-old, wobbly, yet joyful dog who has completely won over the staff with his zest for life. He has a street-healed spinal break, but this hasn't stopped his enthusiasm. He's gained strength and coordination and can even navigate short stair flights! Toaster is an energetic pup who is learning to play a little gentler with humans. He enjoys holding your forearm in his mouth, which is a unique quirk. He came into the program heartworm negative and without other medical concerns. While his movements can startle other dogs, he seems to enjoy their company. Due to his unique gait, he would do best in a home with older children, as he could accidentally knock over a toddler.

Ideal Home

A home with older children would be ideal, as he can be a bit clumsy due to his gait. He seems to want to spend time with other dogs.

Ongoing Health

Toaster has a street-healed spinal break. He is heartworm negative and has no other known medical concerns.

Training & Support

Toaster is doing well with keeping his kennel tidy, so housetraining is expected to be an easy transition. He is surprisingly mellow on a leash. He is learning that while other dogs might enjoy him placing his mouth on them, most humans do not.
