Onyx Baby is an absolutely adorable 7-month-old pittie mix who weighs 33 lbs and has a personality that is by far the sweetest. He has a forever puppy dog face, soul-wrenching sweet eyes, and perfect floppy ears. His foster says he follows her dogs around like a little brother and believes he would be happiest with another dog in the home. Onyx also met the resident cat, Biggie, appropriately and was very respectful. We can arrange a sleepover with a cat upon request to ensure a good match. Onyx is already well-behaved with wonderful house manners and knows basic commands like "sit," taking treats gently. He's eager to please, smart, and loves treats, making him a dream for future training. He is crate trained and mostly potty trained, though he may have occasional accidents if left alone for long periods.
Ideal Home
Onyx would thrive in a home with a backyard where he can romp and play, but he's also perfectly happy being a couch potato for movie marathons. We haven't seen Onyx around children yet, but we are happy to test him and believe he would make a great family dog.
Ongoing Health
Onyx is up-to-date on all vetting, which includes DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12-month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, and a microchip with free lifetime registration.
Training & Support
Onyx knows basic commands like "sit" and is gentle when taking treats. He is eager to please and a smart boy, which will make any additional training a fun bonding experience. He is crate trained and working on his potty training, with occasional accidents when left alone for extended periods.
