Paw Paw

Meet Paw Paw, also known as Mr. Paws! This handsome senior cattle dog, born around January 2016, is truly one of a kind. Paw Paw has had a bit of a rough start, but he's fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and ready to find his special person. He's a handsome boy who ideally weighs around 35lbs, and for those familiar with cattle dogs, you know they can pack on the pounds easily!

Ideal Home

Paw Paw would thrive in a home where he can spend most of his time outdoors, with the option to come inside when he pleases. He absolutely adores female dogs and would love to have a canine lady friend. While he can coexist with submissive male dogs if there's ample space and an experienced owner, he generally prefers to keep his own counsel around other males. A home away from the city is preferred, as loud noises and chaos are not his cup of tea; he finds events like rodeos quite unsettling. He's also best suited for a home with older children, as sudden movements and loud noises can startle him.

Training & Support

Paw Paw is a loyal companion in the making, but he is naturally skeptical due to his past experiences. He might need a longer adjustment period than the typical 3-3-3 rule, potentially needing 6 months or more to fully warm up to his adopter. Building a bond with him will be an incredibly rewarding journey.
