Scrunchie is a 43-pound black and brindle Staffy/Bulldog mix with a squishy face, a gentle soul, and enough love to brighten anyone's day. Although she is listed as three years old, we suspect Scrunchie may actually be closer to five or six. She has a calm, easygoing personality that makes her a wonderful companion for anyone looking for a dog who is happiest simply being near her people. Scrunchie adores everyone she meets and greets new friends with affection, soft eyes, and a wagging tail. Her sweet, patient nature suggests she would likely do very well in a family setting. When Scrunchie first arrived, she was battling kennel cough and simply didn't feel her best. As she has recovered, her confidence has grown, and she has become much more comfortable walking on a leash. These days, she enjoys getting out and spending time with her favorite humans. It's clear that Scrunchie has had puppies in the past and may not have always received the care she deserved. She is currently being treated for some skin irritation with medicated baths and a salmon-based diet, and she is already feeling more comfortable. Scrunchie was recently diagnosed with Valley Fever and will be starting treatment at the shelter. We'd love to see her continue treatment in her forever home.
