Riggs

Riggs is a sweet, gentle, and shy nine-month-old Anatolian Shepherd who came to us from a hoarding case with over 40 dogs. While he was cared for, he didn't have the socialization needed for everyday life, so he's still learning. Riggs is a natural introvert who prefers a calm approach and time to adjust to new situations. He gets along well with other dogs and cats, and would do best with a confident canine companion to show him the ropes and help him feel secure.

Ideal Home

Riggs needs a home with a fenced yard for his safety and comfort, as he is still wary of loud noises and sudden commotion. He would do best with older children, 10 years and up, who are calm and respectful, as he's not fond of screeching, grabbing, or high-energy little humans. He thrives in a laid-back environment where he can be given structure, kindness, and time to blossom.

No specific ongoing health concerns are mentioned, but Riggs does prefer a consistent indoor temperature of 72 degrees.

Training & Support

Riggs is still catching up on basic socialization and can be shy. He benefits greatly from the presence of another dog to provide a steady example and boost his confidence.
