Paolo

Paolo is a curious and energetic adult male Akita mix looking for his forever adventure buddy! He loves to explore the outdoors, using his nose to discover all sorts of interesting smells. Paolo also enjoys neck scritches, playing with his favorite balls, and keeping his active mind engaged with new learning opportunities. He's a very good boy and would truly benefit from regular grooming, lots of exercise, and consistent opportunities to learn and grow.

Ideal Home

Paolo would thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard where he can safely explore. He would do best with children aged 10 and up who are independent and gentle. When it comes to canine companions, Paolo can do some initial sniffing and then ignores them. He would do well with slow introductions to gentle dogs and may even prefer to be the only dog in the household.

Ongoing Health

Paolo is heartworm positive. The shelter is offering heartworm treatment at no additional cost through their foster-to-adopt program.

Training & Support

Paolo is eager to learn and would benefit from continued training and mental stimulation.
