Meet Iggy! This little Aussie/Cattle Dog mix is a bundle of cuteness looking for her forever family. Iggy is currently 10 weeks old and weighed about 13 lbs as of July 3, 2026. She's in her prime socialization window and is likely to do well with other dogs, cats, and children, provided she receives patience and proper training. Iggy is currently enjoying life in a foster home in the DC area.
Ideal Home
Iggy is looking for a home where she can play with her toys, get her puppy zoomies out, and enjoy plenty of snuggles. She's excited about exploring her new neighborhood on walks and making doggy friends. Because she is under 6 months old, potential adopters with a standard 8-hour workday must be willing to make arrangements for multiple potty breaks and exercise throughout the day.
Ongoing Health
Iggy has had age-appropriate vaccines but may not be "fully" vaccinated yet. It is the adopter's responsibility to ensure she receives the rest of her puppy vaccines on schedule. Until she is fully vaccinated, she will be at a greater risk for illness than an adult dog. Iggy has not yet been spayed or neutered, and as part of the adoption contract, this must be done no later than October 14, 2026. There are no exceptions or extensions to this date. A non-refundable spay/neuter deposit will be collected if you would like us to cover this procedure at one of our low-cost partner vets.
Training & Support
Iggy will need to work on her house training and attend obedience school to help her grow into a well-socialized dog. She's eager to show you how smart she is, so puppy obedience classes are a must!
