Oscar

Oscar is a sweet young Labrador mix, approximately 1 year old and weighing 32 lbs. He has a big heart and a joyful spirit, making friends almost instantly with everyone he meets, including children, men, and women. Oscar loves being around people and enjoys playtime with other dogs, his friendly personality makes him an easy dog to fall in love with. He does have a small neurological tic due to distemper, noticeable when resting, but it does not affect his happy life or loving nature.

Ideal Home

Oscar would thrive in an active family that enjoys outdoor activities and has a fenced backyard. He needs a home with people who have a genuine intention to rescue a dog and understand the needs of street animals. Experience in dog behavior and training, or a willingness to hire a trainer, is important. High tolerance and patience for a rescued puppy are also essential. He is not house-trained.

Ongoing Health

Oscar has a small neurological tic due to distemper. He has received a spay/neuter certificate, 2 DHPPI vaccines, rabies vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, is dewormed, microchipped, tested negative for Heartworm, and received a 4DX test and certificate. He is on monthly preventive protection for fleas, ticks, and heartworm with Nexgard Spectra. A health certificate and vaccine booklet are included.

Training & Support

Oscar is not house-trained and will require patience and consistency from his new family. He will need time to adjust to a new environment and build trust. Understanding that he is a rescued dog and may have fears or anxieties due to past experiences is crucial.

Transportation

Oscar is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on a cross-country trip. Transportation is available door-to-door for an additional fee of $400 USD. This process includes scheduled trips, a contracted transport company, all necessary legal documents, and real-time updates throughout the journey.
