Ranger *Adopt*

Ranger is a 2-year-old, 40lb bundle of joy who absolutely loves snuggles, fetch, and food! He's a smart pup who picks up new skills quickly, making him an ideal candidate for continued training with his new family. Ranger's journey began when he was found as a stray after being hit by a car, but thankfully, he's now on the path to a better life. He's spent time in two foster homes and has charmed everyone with his wonderful personality.

Ideal Home

Ranger would thrive in a single-family home with a fenced yard where his interactions with other dogs can be carefully managed. While he can be uncomfortable and reactive to some dogs on leash, with patience and fear-free training, this can be improved. He has coexisted well with calm female dogs in a foster home.

Ongoing Health

Ranger was cleared by a veterinarian after an incident where he was hit by a car. No other ongoing health conditions are noted.

Training & Support

Ranger is eager to learn and food-motivated, which makes training a breeze! He can be reactive to some dogs on leash, and a plan involving treats for distraction and time will help him manage walks.

• Adoptions are limited to the Northern VA / Maryland / DC Metro area due to our home visit requirement.

Transporation

Ranger is currently in the Northern VA / Maryland / DC Metro area. We have adoption events every Saturday from 12-3 p.m. in Reston and Fairfax, VA. Not all dogs can attend every event, so please complete an application through Wags if you are interested in meeting Ranger.
