Holt is a charming 5-month-old bundle of joy, a delightful mix of Border Collie and Great Pyrenees. With his sweet face, sharp mind, and puppy exuberance, he's ready to become your very best friend. Holt is friendly, social, smart, and navigating the puppy phase with impressive grace. He enjoys the company of people and other dogs, and he's even shown to be fine with cats. As a young pup, he'll thrive with structure, training, patience, and a family dedicated to helping him blossom into the wonderful adult dog he's destined to be.
Ideal Home
Holt needs a securely fenced yard where he can safely romp, play, and explore to burn off his puppy energy. He'll do best with an active family that appreciates an intelligent and engaged canine companion, understanding that smart puppies are always learning, sometimes in unexpected ways!
Ongoing Health
Holt is a healthy puppy.
Training & Support
Holt is doing well with typical puppy behaviors, but as with all puppies, he will benefit from consistent training and socialization. Be prepared for the usual puppy needs: flexible schedules for potty training (he can hold it for approximately one hour per month of age), crate training until he's about a year old to prevent chewing, and ample positive socialization experiences. Raising a puppy is akin to raising a toddler, requiring at least a year of patience and effort to help them grow into a well-adjusted adult. This includes providing appropriate toys, socialization, and obedience training, which can be time-consuming and costly. All dogs require supervision around children, and consistent training is key to a happy life together.
