How this pet arrived:Clay was brought in by a community member Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Clay, a sweet and gentle pup looking for a loving new home! Clay can be a bit shy with new faces and spaces and appreciates some extra time to build trust. Once she feels comfortable, she blossoms into a sweet, loyal companion. Clay loves to be the star of the show and soak up all the love and attention, so she is requesting to be the only pet in her new home, and will thrive best in an home without young children (under 12) so her body language can be understood and respected. Clay is working on her separation anxiety, so she is looking for a family who can spend lots of time with her while continuing her positive reinforcement training. She will do best in a quiet home with a routine schedule where the adopter/family can set aside a space for Clay to decompress in her own time and space and acclimate to her new surroundings and family. Clay has been known to have big feelings around other dogs, so although she may not be a candidate for dog parks or other off-leash venues, there are lots of other activities you can do together to strengthen your bond! Clay has also been known to dash through doors or attempt to escape yards, so she will thrive best in a secure home where these behaviors can be managed. Our team will be happy to discuss this in more detail to help set you up for success! If you're ready to give Clay the love and care she deserves, speak to an adoption counselor to learn more today!
