Niko Bear may look like a tough guy with his rugged exterior and handsome features, but beneath that lies one of the sweetest, gentlest souls you'll ever meet. He's a 4-year-old, 74 lb bundle of affectionate charm, likely a Pittie/Shepherd mix, who will lean his whole body weight into you for love. Niko has a calm, easygoing nature and is content to mosey through life at his own pace, enjoying simple pleasures like lounging in a mud puddle. He warms up to new people thoughtfully, and once he decides he likes you, he'll show you with the softest eyes and gentle leans.
Ideal Home
Niko would be happiest in a home with a backyard where he can enjoy his leisurely outdoor strolls. He'd also do well with another dog who enjoys companionship without needing a constant playmate, someone who appreciates hanging out together while doing their own thing. He has shown to be respectful around cats.
Ongoing Health
Niko is up-to-date on all vetting, including DAPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines, multiple deworming treatments, and flea/heartworm preventatives. He has also been spayed/neutered and microchipped.
Training & Support
Niko is potty trained and has excellent house manners. He is still building confidence with his crate but is improving daily and is not destructive. He is working on his leash skills but will likely be a wonderful companion for relaxed neighborhood strolls.
