Meet Trout! This handsome fella is a 2-year-old, 54lb bundle of joy who was rescued from a euthanasia list. Luckily, his foster mom saw his potential and saved him, and we're all so glad she did because Trout is truly special. He's surprisingly chill for a dog who looks like an athlete; he enjoys a good hike or romp with his dog friends but his favorite pastime is relaxing on the couch, upside down with his paws in the air. Trout can be a little shy at first, needing a few minutes to warm up to new people, but once he trusts you, he's a loyal companion. He's kennel and potty trained, walks well on a leash, and knows how to sit. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs, big and small, but his interest in squirrels and cats means a home without feline roommates is best. Trout's one quirk is his extreme dislike for taking medicine – he's a master at spitting out pills no matter how well they're hidden! He's dreaming of a home where he can join in on life's adventures, from camping trips to lazy evenings by the fire.
