Chloe Mae is our perfect Kentucky girl. She is a perfect size (36 lbs!), a perfect age (4 years old!), and perfectly well-mannered. Chloe is a docile and sweet girl who so badly wants to be a part of a family again.
While most of the dogs that we take in do not come with much information about their past, Chloe Mae's previous owner took the time to relay some notes about her when he had to surrender her to the shelter in rural Kentucky where she is from. The shelter had her listed as "Chloe," but after reading the form filled out by her precious owner and seeing that he referred to her repeatedly as "Chloe Mae," we knew that her middle name was an important part of her identity! We also know that she was relinquished because her family's new home would not allow them to keep her. They said that she is such a good girl who is crate-trained, and loves dogs and all people. She spent a week in a foster home with us and they shared the same sentiments! Below is what they shared about their time with her.
"Chloe has been a great houseguest! She is so sweet, calm, and snuggly. She loves being pet and getting belly rubs and will actually "ask" for them. She loves sitting on the couch with us and snuggling. Chloe is a great walker, doesn't even parking when passing other dogs. Chloe took to the crate right away. She goes in there easily at night and sleeps until morning without a fuss. She even goes in there on her own to just hang out or nap. Like I said, such a sweet, easy houseguest!"
While it is not easy to see a dog clearly confused about the turn its life has taken, we can take comfort in knowing that Chloe Mae was loved and cared for by her owners before, and surely will be again soon. She is a precious, polite, dainty, and lovable girl who we hope will have her pick of "suitors"! We hope you will ask about our lovely Chloe Mae today.
Chloe Mae's adoption fee is $300. This animal is spayed, up to date on core vaccines, and Heartworm negative.
