Josie is a sweet and loving companion for the whole family. This 41 lb Staffordshire Terrier mix, with an estimated birthday of 10/26/23, is the perfect cuddle buddy for any occasion. She loves playing with her toys, snuggling with her foster siblings, sunbathing, and chicken nuggets! Josie has delighted her foster family by seamlessly acclimating to her temporary home. She is potty trained, great on the leash, and knows commands such as sit and stay. Being very treat motivated, she is eager to learn, obey, and be part of any pack. Josie does wonderfully well with other dogs, especially playful ones. Snuggling up on the couch is one of her favorite activities, and she's quick to catch a snooze there. She sleeps well on the couch or enjoys going for long walks. When she's fully rested, her absolute favorite activity is going on car rides, and she gets them often as she's a perfect car-riding companion. Josie was rescued from the county shelter, where she was scheduled to be euthanized due to overcrowding. She ended up at the shelter as a neglect case, emaciated and clearly having had a rough start. She has come a long way since then and is ready to find her forever home.

Transportation
Josie is located in Houston, TX, and transportation is included in the adoption fee. Pickup locations may vary and can be across city, county, or state lines. We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas to your state or a neighboring state. These are ground transports using third-party vehicles (vans/buses) converted for dog transport. Each adopter has the ability to track the van using the app Life360 and receives updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are another resource to stay informed on tracking dogs on transport. You must be able to use one of these available services if you wish to follow your adopted dog on transport.
