Chuck is a 1-year-old, 41lb Blue Heeler mix who is the total package – smart, athletic, loyal, and just mischievous enough to keep you smiling every single day. He started his journey needing a fresh start, but his luck changed when he entered foster care. Now, this happy, thriving pup is ready to find his forever family. Chuck is curious, energetic, incredibly intelligent, and always ready for his next adventure. He thrives when he has a job to do, whether it's hiking, playing fetch, learning new tricks, exploring, or simply following his favorite people around. He bonds quickly and is eager to be your loyal sidekick.
Ideal Home
Chuck is looking for an active home that understands the needs of his breed and is excited to help him continue growing into the amazing companion he's meant to be. He'll thrive with consistency, positive reinforcement, and a family that enjoys working with such a smart breed. He would love a family that enjoys staying active, whether it's hiking, running, obedience, agility, or simply daily walks and interactive games. Chuck is dog-friendly and enjoys having canine friends, so he'd be happy to have another playful dog in his forever home, though it's not a requirement as long as he gets plenty of exercise, enrichment, and socialization. We do not know how he does with cats.
Ongoing Health
Chuck is a young adult and has moved beyond the tiny puppy stage. He is up-to-date on vaccinations and neutered.
Training & Support
Chuck is eager to learn, highly food-motivated, and incredibly bright, making training both fun and rewarding. He walks well on leash.

Chuck is being fostered in Houston, Texas, but is available for adoption in many locations across the country. The adoption fee includes transport costs, and we likely have a transport option near you!
