Joey is a golden Labrador Retriever mix, estimated to be born around June 1, 2025, and currently weighs 30 lbs. He's not expected to grow any larger, and his tall, slender frame makes him the perfect size for napping beside you. He's a happy, playful, and incredibly snuggly dog with a remarkable calm personality for his age, offering the perfect blend of silliness and cuddles. Joey enjoys the outdoors, car rides, and short adventures. He would thrive in a home with a fully fenced backyard where he can bask in the sun.
Joey is dog-friendly and has shown a gentle play style, sharing treats and toys amicably with other dogs, even respecting senior pups. Ongoing Health
Joey is up-to-date on all vetting, which includes DAPP with booster, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, flea prevention, and a 12-month injectable heartworm preventative. He has also been tested for heartworms.
Training & Support
Joey is doing great with potty training and is crate trained. He is a smart pup who is eager to please, and consistency, structure, and treats will help him continue to succeed.

Transporation
Joey is currently in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue-run USDA-certified transport system. This transport includes drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada. Canadian adopters can pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. A $87 surcharge applies to cover transportation costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
