Himari is a sweet and affectionate 10-month-old terrier mix who currently weighs about 22 lbs and is expected to reach around 33 lbs. She was born at the shelter after her pregnant mother was rescued. Himari is a playful and loving girl who enjoys running and playing with her dog friends. She is still learning to trust new people and can be a little shy and nervous initially, but with patience and understanding, she blossoms into a devoted companion.
Ideal Home
Himari would thrive in a home with families who understand the needs of rescue animals and are committed to providing a safe and loving environment. Given her initial shyness, a home with experience in dog behavior and training, and a high tolerance for the adjustment period of a rescued puppy, would be ideal. Patience and understanding are a must.
Ongoing Health
Himari has completed a comprehensive health protocol including spay/neuter, DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, microchipping, a 4DX test, negative heartworm test, and monthly Nexgard Spectra preventative. She also comes with a health certificate and vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
It's important to note that Himari is not house-trained. Rescue dogs often require extra patience and consistency when it comes to potty training and adapting to new routines. She will need guidance and reinforcement to build confidence and learn house manners.
