About Missy
Missy came to us when her previous owner was unable to care for her. While her early history is limited, she's a young pup with lots of potential who is still learning about the world. She's ready for a fresh start with a patient family committed to helping her build confidence and positive experiences. Missy is a friendly, playful pup who's always up for fun and games! She's super food motivated - beef liver and rollover treats are the way to her heart. She loves her toys, especially stuffies, Kongs, and tasty dental chews. Sweet and affectionate once she feels safe - her cuddly side really shines through. Missy has a bit of a "chatty" personality and isn't shy about telling you what she wants. She may get a little mouthy or bouncy when she's feeling unsure (her way of coping, not being naughty!). She is still building her confidence, especially in new places and with new experiences. Sensitive to handling, so she'll appreciate a gentle, patient approach. Missy is working on housetraining and will need consistency and support to master it.
Ideal Home
Missy would do best in a townhouse or single dwelling (no apartments/condos). A family with dog experience and ideally breed experience would be a strong asset. Everyone in the home should be 14+ (or slightly younger with experienced caregivers who can manage her behaviors). She could live with another calm, tolerant dog following slow, thoughtful introductions and with continued dedicated one-on-one time for her. A confident canine companion could help Missy come out of her shell, learn the ropes, and burn off some energy through positive social interaction. She could also live with a cat following proper introductions. Missy needs a home with patient, understanding adopters who will continue her training and confidence-building.
Ongoing Health
Missy has been spayed.
