About WESSELS Audrey

Audrey is an almost 6-year-old female Giant Schnauzer with a loving and protective nature. She’s a true Velcro dog, always wanting to be by your side. Audrey is described as being great with children, loving to play with them and shower them with kisses. She's also a wonderful mother and has successfully raised multiple litters. Audrey has been trained and has excellent grooming manners, although she is not fond of having her nails trimmed. She is also a fantastic guard dog and will alert you to any visitors. Audrey is currently medium energy and enjoys sleeping on her back. She is OFA health tested and passed with flying colors.

Ideal Home

Audrey would thrive in a busy family home with lots of children where she is allowed on the couches and beds. She also loves food, so keeping her out of the kitchen would be ideal as she’s known to counter surf.

Ongoing Health

Audrey is healthy. She does experience carsickness, but this is easily managed with a medication given before travel. She will be spayed in June.

Training & Support

Audrey is obedience trained and knows basic commands like Sit, Down, and Stay, with "OK" as the release word. She is leash-trained but is a puller. She does bark at delivery people, a habit she picked up from another dog. While she has never bitten, she has used her mouth to gently grab an arm to get immediate attention in urgent situations, such as when a child was in a potentially unsafe area.
