Toffee is a 9-month-old, 40-pound mixed breed with the softest eyes and the sweetest soul. Our best guess is she is a Vizsla mix. At home, Toffee is a happy, playful, and affectionate girl. She loves romping around with other dogs, playing hard, and then settling in for some cozy cuddle time. She is dog and cat friendly, house and crate trained, and thrives in a home environment where she feels safe and operates on routine. Like many sensitive pups, Toffee took a while to build her confidence in the big outside world. New environments can make her a bit timid at first, but this is something we have been working on and she has improved leaps and bounds. Patience and encouragement will be huge as she continues to build that confidence. Toffee is learning to love the outside world and the adventures it brings. Toffee came to us petrified of car rides. We have been doing a ton of desensitization work and she now will jump in willingly and knows the car equals adventure. She does still drool during travel but quickly recovers once at her destination. This sweet girl doesn't need perfection, she just needs someone willing to go at her pace, cheer her on, and show her how wonderful the world can be.
Ideal Home
Toffee would thrive in a home with a confident, well-adjusted adult dog. She needs a patient, understanding family willing to continue building her confidence. A home without an infant or toddler is preferred (preferably with children 10+ years old and dog-savvy). She is uncomfortable around small dogs or puppies, despite her own size.
Ongoing Health
