Bart

Bart is a friendly, social 3-year-old, 65-pound boy who loves meeting new people and making friends wherever he goes. He's affectionate and happy to offer a paw in exchange for a treat! In the shelter, Bart shows a higher energy level, enjoying balls, squeaky toys, training sessions, running, and playing in the water. With consistent outlets for his energy, we believe he will settle in nicely and be a content companion at home. He's eager to continue his training journey with his future family and does well in cars.

Ideal Home

Bart would likely do best with another higher energy dog. He is sometimes excitable and can be jumpy, so we don't recommend him for older individuals. He would thrive in an active home that can provide daily exercise and enrichment. A fenced yard is preferred. No cats for Bart.

Ongoing Health

All dogs at High Sierra Animal Rescue are spayed or neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate shots, micro-chipped, tested for heartworm, given monthly heartworm preventative medication, and de-wormed.

Training & Support

Bart is working on his leash manners. He knows "sit" and "shake." Consistent training and outlets for his energy will help him thrive.
