Rusty

Rusty is a spunky, 4-5 year old, 50lb Black Mouth Cur Shepherd mix looking for his forever family! He loves to play, and his favorite games involve chasing and keep-away. Rusty is neutered, up-to-date on all his shots, heartworm negative, and microchipped. He's friendly with medium to large-breed dogs, both male and female, and would be happy as an only dog or with a canine companion. His experience with cats is unknown.

Ideal Home

Rusty would thrive in an active home that includes him in daily family activities and adventures. He needs a fenced yard and is not off-leash trained. He would not be a good fit for an apartment. He could live with a couple, a single person, or a family with children older than 10, as his exuberance might accidentally knock over a younger child.

Ongoing Health

Rusty is up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Rusty is potty trained and crate trained, with no accidents in his foster home. He knows basic commands and is motivated by food and treats. He rides well in the car and doesn't show any signs of anxiety.
