Peony radiates sunshine, offering the happiest, wiggliest, and most hilarious presence! This 5-ish year old, 45lb Staffie mix has never met a stranger and truly believes every day is a good day. She's a bundle of silliness and love, ready to share her abundant joy with her forever family.
Ideal Home
Peony thrives on routine and structure. This means providing her with guidance and consistency, both inside and outside the home. She benefits greatly from "place" work for impulse control and settling indoors, as well as crate training and proper exercise. Without a structured outlet, Peony can become overstimulated. With time and a dedicated adopter, she will undoubtedly adjust to her new home's rhythm.
Ongoing Health
Peony is currently undergoing heartworm treatment and is expected to be ready for her forever home in mid-August.
Training & Support
Peony is still mastering loose leash walking, as her enthusiasm for life can make her eager to explore! Her adopter should be committed to continuing her training with consistency. She has a good foundation, and with support from our rescue's training resources, she's sure to succeed. She is potty trained, though an adjustment period is expected with any new dog. Peony is also crate trained, though she may vocalize for a few minutes before settling in.

Peony is currently fostered in Houston, TX. We partner with trusted transport services to bring dogs to over 30 cities across the United States. Adopters are also welcome to pick up their new companion in Houston. Once an adoption is confirmed, our team will coordinate the best transport plan.
