Betsy

Betsy is a sweet girl who has overcome a lot and is ready to find her loving forever home. She's estimated to be between 3 and 4 years old and weighs about 50lbs. Betsy had a very rough start to life, found emaciated, with cut ears, and suffering from a prolapsed rectum. Thankfully, her rectum has been surgically repaired, and she's made incredible progress!

Betsy will need a home that can commit to her ongoing medical needs.

Ongoing Health

Betsy is heartworm positive and has some permanent heart damage. She has completed her heartworm treatments and is no longer restricted in her activity. However, she will require daily medication for the rest of her life, which costs approximately $300 per month. Regular visits to a cardiologist are also necessary. She will have a final appointment at the end of June to determine if her medication dosage can be adjusted.
