Gio

Say hello to Gio, a 78-pound bundle of love who's perfected the art of the bear hug! This 4-year-old handsome guy is all about spreading affection, wrapping his front paws around you in a warm embrace. Gio is a certified love bug who thrives on attention and melts into your touch. He's also got a playful spirit, enjoying walks and even splashing in the pool, showing great promise as a future swimmer! Gio is great in the car and equally happy adventuring or chilling with his favorite humans. He's been excelling in obedience classes and is mastering leash walking. While he's enthusiastic about meeting new friends, he's learning to manage his excitement. Gio is currently working on some minor food guarding habits and is making great progress.

Ideal Home

Gio has lived harmoniously with older female dogs and respects their boundaries. He would do best in a home with female dogs or as the only dog. He has not been cat-tested, but may be open to feline friendships with proper introductions. We recommend homes with children 10 years and over to ensure the best fit for both Gio and the family.

Ongoing Health

Gio is up-to-date on vaccinations and is neutered.

Training & Support

Gio is crate-trained and has been known to chew when bored, so plenty of toys and activities are recommended. He has some food guarding tendencies that he is actively working on.

Transporation

Gio is currently being fostered in Texas and will be transported to his forever home by our rescue. Transports depart weekly.
