Romulus

Romulus is a handsome 6-year-old German Shepherd Dog who is ready to find his forever home! He's a resilient pup who has been patiently waiting at the Kern County Animal Services - Bakersfield Shelter since June 23, 2026. Romulus is an at-risk dog, and our partnership with Companion Animal Protection Society (CAPS) aims to give him the best chance at a happy future. The shelter environment, with its large number of animals and limited space, presents challenges, and we are committed to ensuring Romulus gets out of this situation and into a loving home.

Ideal Home

Romulus is looking for a home where he can truly thrive. As he is currently in a shelter environment, we are still learning about his preferences and needs, but a loving and patient family would be a wonderful start.

Romulus is a healthy adult dog.

Training & Support

Romulus is not yet house-trained. He will benefit from consistent training and positive reinforcement to help him adjust to his new home and learn new skills.

Transportation

Romulus is currently located at the Kern County Animal Services - Bakersfield Shelter. CAPS can arrange transportation for adopters located on the West Coast, though adopters will be responsible for any associated transport fees.
