Hope is a delightful 6-year-old, 51-pound girl, believed to be an American Pitbull Terrier - American Staffordshire Terrier mix, who truly shines when treats are involved! She's a laid-back and relaxed companion who loves affection, especially belly rubs, and is happiest simply being near her people, soaking up love at her own pace. While she enjoys toys, her true passion is for treats, and she'll happily show off her good manners for a tasty reward. Hope walks nicely on a leash and would be content with a few strolls a day followed by relaxing naps.
Ideal Home
Hope would be happy as an only dog, or she could live with a calm, low-energy, and respectful canine companion who understands personal space. She's a quiet and calm girl, making her a great candidate for an apartment, provided she gets regular walks and enrichment. While she was quiet during a cat test, further observation in a home environment would be beneficial. We believe she would do best with older children who understand boundaries and respect a dog's space.

Transporation
Hope is currently in Texas and can be transported nationwide via our rescue's run USDA-certified transport system. Drop-off locations are available in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada (with pick-up options in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). A $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
