Kane

Kane is a 5-6 year old, 80-pound Boxer mix with a strong, athletic build and a heart full of loyalty. He is a dog who bonds deeply with his person and yearns for love, understanding, and a sense of safety.

Kane's journey has been a challenging one. He first came to us in 2022 and, after navigating rescue and foster care, underwent a tail amputation due to an injury. Despite these hardships, he found a loving home and an owner who cherished him unconditionally. Tragically, his owner recently passed away, and Kane is now back with our rescue, heartbroken.

This handsome boy has experienced a profound loss and needs a patient, compassionate adopter to help him heal. Kane is a resilient soul, trying to make sense of his changed world with an enduring joy for life. He's not a dog to be defined by his difficult moments.

Ideal Home

Kane would do best in a home without other dogs. He might be okay with a calm female dog, but only after a proper introduction. He needs an adopter who can provide structure, consistent exercise, and a stable environment. A home where he can enjoy walks, spend quality time with his person, and finally feel secure would be ideal.

Ongoing Health

Kane had his tail amputated due to an injury.
