Meet Izzie!

Izzie is a three-year-old, 10-pound Chihuahua mix who came to us from a hoarding situation. She's learning what it means to feel safe, loved, and truly cared for. This petite sweetheart is looking for a patient adopter to help her build confidence and reinforce her training. She's already potty trained and knows commands like "Down," "Come," and "No." Izzie can be shy at first and would do best in a calm home without children, where she can feel secure and settled. Once she bonds, she becomes incredibly devoted and loves that special one-on-one connection. She would prefer to be the only dog in the home to soak up all the attention. Izzie sometimes shows some resource guarding, so slow movements around her possessions would be advisable. She’s a true lapdog who adores cuddling and being close to her favorite human. Her foster says she enjoys walks and makes a wonderful camping companion, loving to explore the outdoors and tag along on new adventures. Izzie has come so far, and with continued patience and love, she'll blossom into an incredibly loyal and affectionate companion. If you're looking for a devoted little sidekick, Izzie might be your perfect match!

Ideal Home

Izzie would do best in a calm home without children, where she can feel secure and settled. She would also prefer to be the only dog in the home. Izzie will require a standard 4’ fence for her safety.

Ongoing Health

Izzie is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, and is on monthly flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

Training & Support

Izzie is already potty trained and knows commands like "Down," "Come," and "No." She can be a bit shy at first and sometimes shows some resource guarding, so slow movements around her possessions would be advisable. Continued patience and love will help her blossom.
