Cheerio - In Foster Home

Cheerio is a sweet and affectionate 1-year-old dog with a gentle, sensitive personality. He's friendly with other dogs in a familiar setting. Cheerio can be a bit shy around new people and needs a little time to warm up. Once he feels safe, his loving and social side comes out, and he enjoys cuddles and seeking affection. He's very tolerant of handling and enjoys playful interaction once he's relaxed. With patience and reassurance, Cheerio will gain confidence and show his affectionate nature. Ongoing Health

Cheerio is undergoing luxating patella repair surgery on both hind legs, which is being covered by the shelter. His surgery is scheduled for June 17th, 2026. He is current on vaccinations, licensed, and microchipped. He has been tested for heartworm and is on monthly flea/tick prevention and heartworm prevention. He will be spayed/neutered prior to final adoption.

Training & Support

Cheerio doesn't know formal commands yet but enjoys playful interaction once he feels comfortable. Patience and consistency will help him continue to grow in confidence.
