Bilou

Bilou is a sweet, affectionate Shih Tzu who, at 10 years young and weighing just 15 pounds, is ready for her next chapter. When she first arrived at Animatch, Bilou was a terrified and reactive little dog, understandably so after experiencing the loss of her beloved human and an unknown period of uncertainty. Thankfully, an incredible foster mom saw beyond the fear and recognized Bilou's deep grief and loss of trust. With immense patience, understanding, and love, Bilou blossomed into a confident and happy companion. She now enjoys outings, car rides, and has even been introduced to new people and dogs with great success. Bilou has learned that the world can be a safe and fun place again, and she deserves a family to appreciate her remarkable journey and give her the happy ending she's earned.

Ideal Home

An adult-only home would be the best fit for Bilou, where she can continue to build her confidence and enjoy her newfound zest for life.

Training & Support

Bilou's initial reactivity stemmed from fear and trauma. Through patient and consistent guidance in her foster home, she has learned to trust again and has shown immense progress. Continued positive reinforcement and understanding will help her thrive.
