Moose

Moose is a 9-month-old shepsky with striking blue eyes and a heart brimming with affection. He's a fun-loving, energetic boy who's always ready for an adventure with his favorite people. Moose was rescued from a high-kill shelter and is learning the ropes in his foster home. He's a people-oriented pup who loves to be close to his humans, whether you're relaxing at home or out exploring. He's also very food-motivated and eager to please, making him a quick learner. This handsome boy weighs about 45 lbs and is growing.

Ideal Home

Moose would thrive in an active home that understands he's still a young dog learning about the world. He would benefit greatly from a family with a work-from-home or stay-at-home parent who can help him with housebreaking. Moose can be the only canine child, soaking up all the attention, but he also does well with other animals. A yard that is adequately and fully fenced is a must; electric or underground fences are not accepted.

Ongoing Health

Moose is fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. He is heartworm negative and kept on heartworm and flea preventatives.

Training & Support

Like many young dogs, Moose will benefit from continued training and guidance to build good habits. His foster parents work long hours, limiting his training time to the evenings. He will need consistent opportunities to go outside to learn to housebreak. With his intelligence and food motivation, he will learn very quickly. Guidance and appropriate management around food and toys with other dogs will help him succeed.
