About Montana

Montana has been waiting far too long for her forever home, and we're so excited to introduce this beautiful girl to you! Montana is a friendly and good-natured young adult, estimated to be around 2 years old. We're not sure of her breed, but her lovely looks tell a story all their own. She arrived at our shelter as a stray and, sadly, was never claimed.

Ideal Home

Montana is a high-energy girl who thrives with plenty of activity. She gets along well with other dogs, cats, and children, but she can sometimes be a bit too enthusiastic with her canine friends, not always picking up on their cues when they've had enough play.

Ongoing Health

Montana is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, and is on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

Training & Support

Montana is a graduate of the Paws in Prison program, where she spent 8 weeks with inmate trainers and received weekly guidance from a certified dog trainer. She learned a fantastic array of commands, including sit, down, stand, focus, wait, release stay, front/side heel sit, come, leave it, easy, kennel, roll over, and play dead! While she knows these commands, she can be a bit independent and may sometimes ignore them. She also needs some work on her leash manners.
