Meet Lucky! This handsome, five-month-old husky is as sweet and gentle as they come. Lucky was unfortunately hit by a car before coming to us, but thanks to a generous veterinarian, his leg was saved. Our team has been dedicated to his rehabilitation and socialization, and we've all fallen in love with this resilient pup. Lucky is a trooper, allowing us to manipulate his injured leg and pick him up as needed, even when it wasn't pain-free. He grumbled a bit, as huskies can be dramatic, but he never got mad and truly enjoyed the attention, leaning into pets and scratches. He's healing well and walks slowly but easily on a leash. Lucky is friendly to all he meets and enjoys the company of other dogs, though he hasn't had many opportunities to play. He's a talker, like many huskies, and loves a good chat. Once his leg is fully healed, he should be right as rain!
Ideal Home
Lucky is a gem who needs a loving home committed to his well-being. Huskies require plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, and a securely fenced yard to prevent wandering. He doesn't like being left alone for long periods, as he'll find his own entertainment. He'll need a family or person ready for a full-time companion.
Ongoing Health
Lucky is currently undergoing rehabilitation for a leg injury sustained before arriving at our shelter. He's healing well and has been a brave patient during his physical therapy.
Training & Support
Lucky is friendly and enjoys human interaction. As with all young dogs, he'll benefit from continued socialization and positive reinforcement training. Huskies are smart and curious, so engaging activities will be key to his happiness.

- All adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with a current/recent vet and a brief home visit if located in the immediate area.
- We do permit out-of-state adoptions.
Transporation
Lucky is located at our shelter. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship, nor do we transport them to their new homes.
