Peter Pan is a charming and curious 9-week-old male Chihuahua/Terrier mix who weighs about 3 pounds. He was found abandoned on the streets of Houston with his littermates and is now in a foster home in Austin, Texas. Peter Pan is a brave and social pup who loves to explore, play tug-of-war, and snuggle up for naps. He has a gentle spirit and is sure to bring a lot of joy and adorable mischief to his new home.
Ideal Home
Peter Pan would do best in a home where someone is present more often than not, as he is still very young and cannot be left alone for long periods. Homes where he will be left alone for more than 4 hours at a time will not be considered unless there is another adult in the household to care for him during the day. If you work outside the home, please be sure to include your puppy care plan in your application. He is believed to do well with children, cats, and other dogs, but any resident pets should be gentle and experienced with very small dogs, and all interactions should be supervised due to his tiny size.
Ongoing Health
As a young puppy, Peter Pan is still developing and learning. His breed mix and adult size are unknown, so adopters should be prepared for surprises!
Training & Support
Peter Pan is still working on potty training and crate training. His new family should be committed to providing consistent training, frequent potty breaks, positive reinforcement, and plenty of patience as he learns. Puppies thrive with structure, routine, and supervision.
