DOUGAL

Dougal is a handsome 75 lb Sheepadoodle, approximately 2 years old, and he's just the nicest, most easy-going dog you'll ever meet! He's very laid back and gets along wonderfully with all the other rescue dogs. Dougal is so well-behaved that his foster family often forgets he's even around! He's not a fan of the midday heat and prefers to relax inside with the air conditioning, but as the day cools down, he's eager to head outside to play with his buddies, enjoy some chew treats, and chase after squirrels. He seems to be pretty well-house and leash trained, though he does tend to pull on the leash and would benefit from a confident handler.

Ideal Home

Dougal needs a fully fenced and secure yard to safely explore and play. We do not adopt to households with children under the age of 8 years old.

Ongoing Health

Dougal tested positive for heartworms and has completed his treatment according to the American Heartworm Society Protocols. We typically see dogs test negative within 4 to 6 months post-treatment.

Training & Support

Dougal does pull on the leash and would benefit from continued leash training with a strong hand.
