Luna

Luna is a beautiful German Shepherd who just turned a year old and is ready for a fresh start! She was picked up as a stray and sadly never claimed. Now safe in foster care in Illinois, Luna has shown us what a sweet, fun-loving girl she truly is! She adores people and has a gentle, affectionate personality that wins hearts wherever she goes. She loves spending time with her humans, whether cuddling or tagging along on adventures, and enjoys playing chase and zooming around the yard with her canine buddies. Luna is a bit timid around cats but doesn't show aggression, just curiosity and uncertainty. She backed all the way across a room when our big cat growled at her, wanting no part of that.

Ideal Home

Luna would thrive in a home that can offer love, consistency, and plenty of playtime. She'd do great with another friendly dog to keep her company or as a cherished solo companion for an active family.

Ongoing Health

Luna is up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed.

Training & Support

Luna is about to complete a 6-week obedience training class. She walks well on a leash, knows basic commands, and is potty trained.

Transportation

This dog is fostered in central Illinois and is available to travel north or south on our scheduled trips, which run at least twice each month. Her foster can coordinate meet and greets. She can be transported to the following pickup locations:

• Missouri: Herculaneum (south of St. Louis) - Friday evening
• Illinois: Collinsville (north of St. Louis) - Friday evening, Springfield - Friday evening, Bloomington/Normal - Friday evening, Oglesby - Saturday morning, Roscoe - Saturday morning
• Wisconsin: Sun Prairie - Saturday late morning, Fond du Lac - Saturday early afternoon

• Green Bay area adopters meet in Fond du Lac.
• Davenport area adopters meet in Oglesby or Roscoe.
• Milwaukee area adopters meet in Sun Prairie or Fond du Lac.
